Cemetery
Lit up are
the torches.
Black
becomes the azure sky,
The end of
the day arrives.
Rescue and
resources dire,
Brutal is
the wildfire.
The beacons
are bright,
Indicating the
end of life.
Our country
has slipped,
Slipped into
a devilish and cruel path.
The path
that isn’t very merry,
The one that
leads to the cemetery.
Help is in
shortage,
With
incompetent systems in rage,
Millions in need,
But all we
see are bodies on the street and politics of greed.
Lungs
gasping,
Inequity
everlasting,
Souls have
been deserted,
Life devastated.
Our country
has slipped,
Slipped into
a devilish and cruel path.
The path
that isn’t very merry,
The one that
leads to the cemetery.
Heart-breaking is the situation,
With suffering
at center-stage.
Engulfed in
pain are those at the heart of our nation,
Fighting
with courage and determination.
The state
has neglected them,
Gods have been
blind to them,
Emotions saturated,
Societies
fragmented.
Our country
has slipped,
Slipped into
a devilish and cruel path.
The path
that isn’t very merry,
The one that
leads to the cemetery.
